Guangzhou Logistics Association: Best in the Industrial Sector (2010)
AMB Guangzhou Development Zone Logistics Center won Best In The Industrial Logistics Sector for the multi-story business park in Guangzhou, which totals more than 1 million square feet.

NAIOP: REX Awards – Industrial Development of the Year (2010)
AMB's Airport Road Distribution Centre represented the largest freestanding industrial speculative development in Canada, totaling 1,122,983 square feet.  The property evolved from land acquisition to fully leased within three years. The facility is fully occupied by Vitran Logistics and Pepsi.

NAIOP: REX Awards – Industrial Development of the Year (2009)
AMB's Milton 401 Business Park received Industrial Development of the Year award by the local NAIOP chapter for the master-planned three-building business park in Ontario, Canada, which totals more than 966,000 square feet. Read More

Greater Chicago Food Depository: Redevelopment of the Year (2008)
AMB earned the "Redevelopment of the Year" award for the two-building 228,000 square foot build-to-suit for BAX Global, Inc. from the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

SIOR: Seattle Chapter – Development of the Year (2008)
AMB received the Industrial Development of the Year award from the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors Washington chapter in recognition of AMB Valley Distribution Center, a 750,000 square foot facility fully leased to two global customers. Read More

Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal: 2008 Structures Awards Redevelopment of the Year (2008)
AMB was awarded the Redevelopment of the Year from the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal in recognition of AMB's TriPoint Business Park. This 167,300 square foot, four-building redevelopment serves as a model for renovation efforts. AMB designed the project to exceed current energy standards, reduce water consumption and eliminate construction materials containing harmful volatile organic compounds. Illumination Promotion Award (2008)
AMB Kasugai Distribution Center, a 986,000 square foot facility, received the Illumination Promotion Award from The Illuminating Engineering Institute of Japan for its exterior lighting design.

Golden Brick Award (2008)
AMB's Siziano Logistics Center in Milan, Italy, earned a Golden Brick Award by REurope magazine for the best logistics development project in Italy, as voted by executives of leading Italian real estate companies.

Logistiek.nl: Safest Warehouse Award (2007)
AMB Capronilaan Logistics Center was honored with the Safest Warehouse Award from Logistiek.nl, in recognition of the safety and security systems implemented by AMB customer Intel. The development is proximate to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

Institutional Investor Magazine: Top Shareholder-Friendly REITs (2007)
AMB was ranked by Institutional Investor as one of the most shareholder-friendly companies. Institutional Investor asked portfolio managers and sell-side analysts to choose within their domain.

Investor Shareholder Services: Top 50 Real Estate Companies (2007)
AMB was named 14th of the Top 50 Real Estate Companies included in the listing of Best Corporate Governance Practices in North America.

Institutional Investor Magazine: Top Shareholder-Friendly REITs (2005)
AMB was recognized by Institutional Investor Magazine as a shareholder-friendly REIT. Companies were ranked on traits including honesty with investors, accessible CEOs, strong financial performance and solid governance policies.

Moghadam received The Spirit of Life Award from The City of Hope. This is City of Hope's most prestigious philanthropic honor and recognizes individuals who have committed time and resources to helping those in need. Will O'Donnell, AMB's SVP – Capital Deployment, Europe & Asia, earned a coveted spot among this elite group of "Stars to Watch." Each year, CPN highlights members of the U.S. commercial real estate community who, at age 40 or under, stand out for significant achievements that promise to make them future leaders in the industry.

CEO Hamid Moghadam was recognized by the San Francisco NAIOP chapter for his commitment and contribution to the real estate industry.

Real Estate Forum: Tomorrow's Newsmakers (2007)
Ellen Hall, AMB's SVP – Fund Manager, Europe, was included as an up and coming star in commercial real estate by Real Estate Forum. She's included in a select group of "Rising Stars" aged 35 and younger, from the approximately 200 entries the publication received.

Real Estate New Jersey: Top Young Developers (2007)
Bo Farkas, VP – Development, East Region, was chosen as one of New Jersey's Top Young Developers by Real Estate New Jersey.

Ellis Island Medals of Honor (2006)
CEO Hamid Moghadam received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor by the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations. This award pays tribute to the heritage of those groups that comprise America's unique cultural mosaic and extraordinary individual achievement. Among numerous other community-related activities, he established the Moghadam Family Endowment for Iranian Studies at Stanford University as well as the International Relief Micro-Lending Program in Bam, Iran.

NAREIT: Industry Leadership Award (2005)
Hamid Moghadam, AMB's CEO, was the recipient of NAREIT's Industry Leadership Award, given at NAREIT's annual convention to REIT executives for their significant contributions to the real estate industry.

CEO Hamid Moghadam was the recipient of the Industrial Property CEO of the Year award by Commercial Property News.

NAREIT Magazine: 10 to Watch (2004)
National Real Estate Investor Magazine honored AMB CEO Hamid Moghadam as one of the professionals whose expertise makes them a high-impact player whom people love to watch.

Realty Stock Review: Outstanding CEO Award (1999-2002)
For the fourth year in a row, CEO Hamid Moghadam was named Outstanding CEO of the Year by Realty Stock Review.

Ernest & Young: Entrepreneur of the Year (1998)
CEO Hamid Moghadam was chosen as Real Estate Entrepreneur of the Year of Northern California. The program honors and recognizes entrepreneurs who have demonstrated excellence and extraordinary success in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Southern California Edison 2010 Commercial Customer Recognition (2010)AMB was recognized in Southern California as one of the region's leaders in energy conservation by the Southern California Edison utility company. The utility recognized AMB's efforts and energy performance investments that now include 75% of the portfolio. The results come primarily from installing energy efficient lighting systems that reduce tenant energy costs by 30% on average. Over the next five years, this will lead to estimated tenant energy savings in excess of $16 million. These efforts will support leasing while also reducing impacts on the environment.

NAREIT: Leader in the Light – Honorable Mention (2009)
The National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts® (NAREIT®), honored AMB for demonstrating superior and sustained energy use practices. The award recognizes company-wide operations that generate substantially improved energy efficiency and expense management.

Jersey City Green Award (2009)
AMB Pulaski earned the 2009 Green Award from Jersey City, New Jersey, recognizing AMB for its innovative work toward a more sustainable city. 

New Jersey New Good Neighbor Award (2009)
AMB Liberty Logistics Center in Newark was honored with a 2009 New Good Neighbor Award for building a state-of-the-art 191,000 square foot distribution center on a brownfield site. The award is sponsored jointly by the New Jersey Business & Industry Association and New Jersey Business Magazine. 

AIA Atlanta COTE: Greenprints Design Showcase (2009)
AMB Morgan Business Center – Building 100 is a 343,000 square foot certified Gold LEED facility. The development received top recognition for its demonstration of regional efforts to integrate environmentally responsible design methods and materials into projects. Read More

CoreNet: Sustainable Leadership Award (2008)
AMB received commendation for its design and development of AMB Morgan Business Center, an environmentally responsible, high-performing, sustainable development located near the Port of Savannah in Georgia. Read More

NAIOP New Jersey: Impact Award (2005)
AMB was recognized for the quality of projects, leadership and contributions to and involvement in the communities where we do business.

AIA COTE: Top Ten Green Projects (2002)
The American Institute of Architects Committee on the Environment selected AMB's redevelopment of Pier One as one of its annual Top Ten Green Projects. AMB was recognized along with 10 examples of architectural design solutions that protect and enhance the environment.

Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Awards (2001)
AMB won the Outstanding Achievement in Conservation Award and People's Choice Award from the 110,000-member architectural and land management group, for its transformation of a dilapidated San Francisco warehouse and pier into a technologically advanced office building.

Urban Land Institute: Awards for Excellence (2001)
AMB was honored with an Award for Excellence by the Urban Land Institute for its global headquarters located in a historic pier adjacent to the iconic Ferry Building on San Francisco's waterfront. AMB renovated Pier One in collaboration with the Port of San Francisco in a public-private partnership, transforming a dilapidated 1930s warehouse into modern office space. This high-profile adaptive use and restoration project was the first successful redevelopment in the contemporary transformation of the heart of San Francisco's urban waterfront.

San Francisco Business Times: Real Estate Deals of the Year (2001)
AMB received Real Estate Deal of the Year designation for the company's rehabilitation and renovation efforts on the historic San Francisco waterfront by the San Francisco Business Times. AMB designed and renovated Pier One as a "green building," utilizing environmentally friendly building systems that save energy and preserve the environment.

Pacific Coast Builders Conference: Gold Nugget Awards (2001)
AMB was awarded the Gold Nugget Merit Award from the Pacific Coast Builders Conference. This merit for sustainable building was in recognition of Pier One, AMB's global headquarters.

Transactions

NAIOP: REX Awards – Industrial Lease of the Year (2009)
AMB achieved lease of the year by NAIOP for fully leasing its 309,000 square foot development in Milton, Ontario, to 3M Canada Company. The facility is one of the first LEED-certified industrial buildings in Canada. Read More

Real Estate Forum: Transactions of the Year (2008)
AMB Minooka Distribution Center was selected as one of Real Estate Forum's Developments of the Year. Real Estate Forum highlighted the year's top 10 transactions in leasing, sales and development.

California Real Estate Journal: Deals of the Year – Land Sale (2006)
AMB Pacific Coast Business Park was designated as Deal of the Year by California Real Estate Journal. AMB acquired the 104 acre undeveloped land site and converted it into 30 finished and entitled lots ranging from approximately two to eight acres in size. At construction completion in December 2008, AMB had developed 14 small buildings totaling 205,000 square feet on 12 acres within the park.

San Francisco Business Times: Dealmaker of the Year (2000)
AMB was honored by The San Francisco Business Times for its deal with DivcoWest Properties. The acquisition, valued at $119 million, was for 1.7 million square feet of airport and seaport properties.
